Aqui en Tres Contas

Sunday, July 23, 2006

Hola everyone...
I am here in Tres Contas..a town north of Madrid. It is the newest city in Europe, 20 yrs. It kinda looks like an upscale mexico but alot better!!! Last night I went down town and saw a ballet on the square . It was pretty cool. This morning we got to church at about 10;30 and we were there until about 2. The Spainards are very passionate. There are not many Christians in all of Spain, but the one that there are, are very Passionate about what they belkieve. After worship We went to eat and I started to get sick. I hurried back to the hotel and was sick for about an hour. Finally got to sleep for a little bit and then we went back to chuch. I was feeling a little better but it is coming and going. Pray that I will get better for tomarrow. The prayer service tonite was the most passionate one I have ever been to. Th people are very Hospitiable and very nice. Guys are pretty good lookin too..lol. I like there Greetings..haha. Tomarrow we will be downtown passing out tracks and pamplets about the church. In the afternoon I will Probaley do balloons along with the Youth doing drama and puppets. Please keep me and my team in your prayers. Pray for our health and the people will be ministering to. Pray for their open hearts and willingness to listen. Will not be able to update often...I am on an Amigos computadora now.

Team placements...

Friday, July 21, 2006

Hola
Today we had our first meeting with all of the groups. There are 50 people here in all. I met the 3 other young people that are invlolved too. They are all on one team and going to the Medeteranian coast...funfun. I talked with one of the main leaders and asked if I could still go to Huelva. He had me to speak with the Spain missionary and head man of the Spain convention. I told them my reasoning and they said they would discuss it. The leader of the spin convention told me the church in Madrid they moved me to has a whole lot of young people and a visting church of young peopole will come on the weekend. They had placed me there because of this. He also said his brother-in-law is the pastor...lol. After some explanation, i feel alot better about it. PLease continuee to pray for us and the teams here. We leave out tomarrow for our assigned church. Tonite i will be meeting the pastor of the church I will be at. I know have a charger for my cell phone so I will leave it turned on now. Call me if you need to. After a long day of sightseeing ytesterday, I am going to chill out today until the banquet tonight. Love yall. Thanks for your prayers!!!

Hola de España!!!!

Thursday, July 20, 2006

Hola de España (Hello from Spain)
I am now in Madrid Spain and having a pretty good time. Yesterday I spent resting and walking around town alittle. Today I started my day at 11 and went down town until about 7. I saw the sights of Madrid. From Plaze de Real to the Prado Mesuem. I rode around town on a Hop-on, hop-off buss. I stopped at many of the sights but not all. The Prado was pretty interesting. Sooo many beutiful paintings. They had a Picasso exibit up with about 5o picasso paintings. Very Abstract. Now I am just relaxing in the internet cafe...I love these things. Tomarrow will be my official first day of the trip. Everyone got in today and things will get started tomarrow. I am a little frustrated with my team leader now though. He is a 76 yr old man that gets his way. I was scheduled to go to the coastal town of Huelva but my leader got our team changed to stay in Madrid, without asking any of us. Im not very happy about this and do not know who to adress it with. Whatever comes of it, I know God has a `plan for me wherever he places me. Please keep me in your prayers that everything will work out and I will be used best of God wherever I am placed.

Latvia followup...

Wednesday, July 19, 2006

Hola...I am now in Spain at my hotel in Madrid. I want to finish up on the latvia post though first.

Ok, so I will pick up on the second day of the party in Cesis. That morning my family and I had a personal tour of the castle by on of our new Latvian friends. She knew all of the specific details and dates of the castle. We even went down into the dungeon..oooo. From there I went to the church to prepare for more balloons. The city was filled with vendors and activities throughout the day. I ended up doing more balloons for about another 4 hours. It was tyring but sooo much fun. The Latvians are soo greatful and polite. The President of Latvia even came to the celebration. I got to see her and get a picture of her. All over town were activities celebrating cesis. Later that night, my family and I, along with some alot of Latvians went to a concert down at Castle Park. It ended up being an opera..but fun anyway. At the end I got to see the best firewprks show that has ever been performed. It was amazing!!!! Well this was our last night in Cesis. The next morning we got up and went to the Big beutiful church in the center of Cesis for worship. It was amazing. I couldnt understand a word, but the music was more than words. From Cesis, we caught a bus to Riga and chilled out the rest of the night. I went with some of my Latvian guys to town and they showed me around. Eduards took us up to the 27th floor of a building to a high class club. It was sooo cool. Widows were the walls, and I could see everything from there. We just hung out there for a little bit and had a coke. Riga is a cool place, but I liked Riga alot better!! The next morning we went to London and went to the original Hard Rock Cafe. I saw James Blake, tennis player, getting out of his Lamborgini...pretty cool!! From London, I left everyone and am now here in Spain.

Thanks guys for a wonderful trip. God really moved. Thanks for all the memories and fun times!!! Latvians are the best!!! Palidies...atta

Earlier that day, the men went to a prison to play basketball with the boys. About 30 guys came forward and gave their life to God. I have been able to make some really cool latvian friends. I even found a balloon up there I had made..haha. It is ablout time for me to head back to the chuch and do more balloons today. I got my assignment for my spain trip and I will be in Huelva, Spain. Just a few more days!! Please keep the Latvians in your prayers. there are so many that are very close to accepting God as there leader of ther\ir life. Thanks for all your prayers and support.
