Aunt Katie

Tuesday, November 14, 2006

Friday, November 10 at 8:01 pm, I became a proud Aunt to Haylen Tanner Leatherwood. He is a beautiful baby boy that I was able to love on for 2 days. After these 2 days, Haylen was handed over to Michelle and Jason and became Kolson Tanner. My very couragous sister placed Kolson for open adoption (we will get to see him often). She bravely entrusted the Jason and Michelle with Kolson's life as his parents. Becuase my sister knew she could not provide the best possible life for this precious baby boy, she has given him the opportunity to be parented by wonderful parents that will. They are a wonderful family that will care and love Kolson. Placing him for adoption was one of the toughest things my sister and my family has ever had to face. Although we will miss him and it was soo hard to see him leave, this is God's plan for Kolson, the Leatherwood's and the Jason and Michelle. God is in control!!! Please pray for my family, Kolson, and the the new parents during these comin days and weeks, they will be the toughest!!!
